Dave loved his fishing and the Elmore Angling Club was pleased to have him, not only as an active member for over 25years, but also as a valued voice on the committee between 1999 and 2009. We persuaded him back onto the committee in 2014 as a Trustee of the club so he could be one of the signatories to our new lease. This was more than lucky as we had also applied for Community Amateur Sports Club (CASC) status and Dave helped the club again by asking his daughter Heather to give us some expert advice using her knowledge gained with Sport England. He was always practical, informed, good humoured and a pleasure to talk to. His love and respect for his wife Margaret and his daughter Heather and his pride and love for his granddaughter was evident to all of us at the club and we will miss him
